Water-based attraction theming is notoriously complicated, but we know how to make magic into reality, even in challenging locations. That’s why we were up for the challenge when LEGOLAND® asked us to create some dynamic pieces for their water park.

Our team built a high-seas LEGO® adventure where park guests can participate in a water battle of their own from the decks of dueling pirate ships. This massive set-piece includes multiple ships, bridges, platforms, and characters that serve as the finale of the Pirate Reef flume ride.
HOW WE DID IT
Not only did everything we created have to hold up to the constant moisture and California sun, it also had to be durable enough to stand up to the thousands of guests who would play on it daily. It took all of Storyland’s considerable engineering and fabrication skills to tackle these challenges while ensuring that the final pieces embodied the authentic LEGO® look and feel.
CONCLUSION
Now a highlight of a beloved attraction for the over two million annual LEGOLAND® guests, the LEGOLAND® Water Park truly makes a splash! We are honored to have built some of the iconic signage and scenery for the park.
